The Higher Purpose Series: Conscious Investing – How to Invest with Purpose in 2019
-
Dotdash, Times Square Studios
- 1500 Broadway

Event Details
As informed customers, most of us carefully select the products we buy for ourselves and our families. We care about whether a company meets sustainability standards, has great working conditions for its employees, or is involved in their communities. What about our investment portfolios? Are we using the same value system to guide us our financial decisions? Are we consciously investing?
In this 90-minute workshop, Caleb Silver, Investopedia’s Editor-in-chief and Kimberly Paris, Director of Impact Investing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and will engage with participants through an interactive discussion about how to leverage the power of purpose in your investments to generate social and environmental impact alongside the potential for financial returns.
They will help us understand that strong corporate financial performance and social responsibility are no longer mutually exclusive. Studies even suggests that companies that adhere to environmental, social and governance standards may perform better than companies that do not. Regardless which causes you care about, this session will help you to become a more conscious investor.
In addition to the educational portion of this program, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other conscious investors and business leaders in NYC. Drinks and light bites will be provided.
While this event is open to all, CCNYC Members (Leaders and Ambassadors) are free of charge — please make sure that you’re logged in to access this benefit. To become a member, click here. Non-members are welcome to attend for $25.00 per ticket.
