Are you ready for an Alpine Adventure? CCNYC presents…Ice Climbing. This guided adventure will offer you a chance to get outside of your comfort zone and engage with your community in a unique way.
No ice climbing experience is necessary, our guides at Alpine Endeavors will provide instruction and the requisite technical gear (ice tools, crampons, helmets, ropes, harnesses, etc.). Registrants will receive a separate email about a week prior to the event with details regarding traveling logistics/carpooling, clothing suggestions, etc. But plan on being up in New Paltz by 9am.
This Conscious Adventure is open only to paid members of the NYC chapter. Members who choose to attend may also purchase a ticket for one guest. There is a $130 per person fee for this Conscious Adventure as we will have out of pocket costs for our professional guiding services.
CCNYC is excited to invite you to attend an exclusive early release film screening of The Pursuit. Due to the size of the cinema and expected sell out of this event, Leader and Ambassador members will receive priority registration through February 6th.
What is The Pursuit Film about?
Professional musician turned intrepid economist Arthur Brooks travels around the globe in search of an answer to the question: How can we lift up the world together, starting with those at the margins of society? Along the way, he discovers the secrets not only to material progress for the least fortunate, but also true and lasting happiness for all.
The film screening will be followed by a facilitated discussion on the film.
As informed customers, most of us carefully select the products we buy for ourselves and our families. We care about whether a company meets sustainability standards, has great working conditions for its employees, or is involved in their communities. What about our investment portfolios? Are we using the same value system to guide us our financial decisions? Are we consciously investing?
In this 90-minute workshop, Caleb Silver, Investopedia’s Editor-in-chief and Kimberly Paris, Director of Impact Investing at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, and will engage with participants through an interactive discussion about how to leverage the power of purpose in your investments to generate social and environmental impact alongside the potential for financial returns.
They will help us understand that strong corporate financial performance and social responsibility are no longer mutually exclusive. Studies even suggests that companies that adhere to environmental, social and governance standards may perform better than companies that do not. Regardless which causes you care about, this session will help you to become a more conscious investor.
In addition to the educational portion of this program, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other conscious investors and business leaders in NYC. Drinks and light bites will be provided.
While this event is open to all, CCNYC Members (Leaders and Ambassadors) are free of charge — please make sure that you’re logged in to access this benefit. To become a member, click here. Non-members are welcome to attend for $25.00 per ticket.
